Vanilla Ice was the featured talent at an event in downtown Reno last year. The concert didn’t go off without a hitch however, as the band blew a fuse in the generator in a matter of minutes, causing an embarrassing delay. It was, however, a win for me. Because the concert was so popular, and security was so tight, I wasn’t allowed to shoot the concert from an advantage point I prefer. But got lucky while he mingled with adoring fans on the side of the stage security failed to cover. It took approx. 30 minutes for crews to find a generator that would run and handle the power surge his band produced.
