There had been talks of repurposing this once homeless shelter building into luxury condos. But I suppose that idea was quickly nixed because of its location? Considering it’s next to train tracks and across from the St Vincent’s Soup Kitchen was not ideal. The city chose to tear it down for a reported $700,000. The Nevada Cares Campus, a $65 million plus self contained homeless shelter, medical, and services facility, built on a 15 acre site replaced this building back in 2021.
