Burning Man starts today and our population grows as a result with many of the burners staging in and around the downtown area before heading out to the Playa. It’s hard to tell who is who, but I’m guessing the people on the bikes are just practicing their bike skills and the couple on foot with the dog seemed to be having a disagreement as the woman was attempting to distance herself from her male friend by walking down the center of the street.

The weather appears not to be on the Burner’s side again this year. Stormy weather is predicted throughout the week. But, looking on the bright side, the rain will keep the dust down
