It was a bit breezy, but the powers that be did finally decide to go ahead and fire up those canisters of color, about 15 minutes late. I had situated myself at a spot that gave me a view of the entire valley. My intention was to record the entire valley all at once. But since each official fireworks station decided to start at different times, I focused on the individual locations instead. The Nugget Casino in Sparks, the GSR and Silver Legacy Casinos in Reno. The Nugget went first, then the Silver Legacy, with the GSR coming in last. I didn’t bother to photograph the GSR as it wasn’t as grand as the other two. The first image in this series was actually a neighborhood firework just below my advantage spot.
