Today was the second day of the festival. A day that didn’t see a mass ascension even though the weather appeared to be perfect. The mass ascension was cancelled because, even though winds were calm on the surface, winds aloft were more than are allowed for a balloon lift off. Instead balloons inflated en mass, but remained earthbound. The festival will continue tomorrow and Sunday with another attempt, weather permitting.
