Barn Swallows were busy taking advantage of the river mud and attempting to reestablish their nests under the existing bridge. Crews have been busy over the last month or so using high pressure power washers trying to dissuade these persistent birds from establishing their nesting sites, to no avail. The bridge will be demolished within the next few weeks, to the Swallows’ dismay.
